Hoping for a turn around

Lately I have been feeling really icky. I have a cough that I just can't seem to kick and it's driving me nuts! A couple weekends ago we went out with some great friends. At some point in the evening I decided to rock some pigtails and decided that this moment should be captured forever. In an effort to take a self portrait I turned the camera around and proceeded to get into position. All of a sudden I started coughing so hard and then I started laughing and then it happened I pushed the button and captured this...




Yes I know it looks as if I got beat up and the left side of my face is swollen. After I stopped coughing I took another...




Ahhh that's better. Well except for the 3 chins. YUCK!

I'm just hoping that this cough will go away and my health will turn around soon so there are no more picture casualties.

Cute doesn't even begin to describe these two friends of ours. They are people that Larry and I hold very dear to our hearts and their friendship means a lot to us.

Friday's Field Trip

So Friday two of our kids (Kaleigh & Larry) went to The Arch for a field trip. I was able to tag along with Larry's class for this trip. I have a ton of pictures but due to not having permission of the other parents I will not be posting some of the pictures. Here is a picture I took while we were waiting to enter.


These next few pictures were taken after we watched a movie about Lewis & Clark. We were waiting for the coolers with the lunches to be brought to us.

We finally made it the the elevator and I was reminded just how tiny it was by looking at the door. If you have a fear of small spaces then this is not the thing for you...


After what felt like an hour trip to the top we finally were able to enjoy it. Here are some of those shots.

After we got our feet back on solid ground we walked around the museum. We saw a lot of neat things but I think the neatest was getting to take a picture of both of the kids.

Completely Proud!!!!

I am so proud of our kids! Larry & I got to attend the Student Of The Month breakfast at the school this morning. This is the fourth breakfast I have gotten to go to this school year and as a mother you can't imagine how much pride I feel that each of our children was selected out their classes to receive this honor.

Summer is almost here...

So last week my wonderful husband Larry got all the kids bikes out for some tuning. Larry needed a new tube for his tire and Kaleigh's breaks needed to come off as well as they all needed their tires aired up.

I have to take a minute to brag on all of our kids starting with the youngest. Chandler is growing so fast and is such a smart baby. He knows what his cup is and what goes in it. He is really starting to show signs of understand what we are saying.

Next is Chase. This boy is SMART! He took his Kindergarten testing last month and did absolutely fantastic. He scored higher than most kids his age.

Briana, Kaleigh, Larry, & Tyler i'm going to group together because I want to tell everyone at some point in the year every single one of them has been Student Of The Month! How awesome is that!

Yesterday

For the first time yesterday I cut grass! Yes I know some of you (MOM) are completely shocked by this news.



Larry and I have inherited dad's old riding lawn mower and let me tell you it is a work out trying to get that blasted thing to turn. Either way I did it and I have to say I'm proud of myself for doing something I have never done before!



I want to say a BIG thanks to the hubby & kids for getting our back patio in order for the summer BBQ's.
